River Fish Cuisine

 As a city situated between the Edo and Naka Rivers, Yoshikawa has 
a longstanding tradition of river fish cuisine that includes catfish and  
eel. 
 The "Catfish Monument" in Yoshikawa Station was erected in   
association with this tradition.

Yoshikawa Green Onions

 "Yoshikawa Green Onions, "cultivated around natural embankments,
represent the number one vegetable in terms of shipment volume from Yoshikawa.
They enhance the autumn dinner table of households in Tokyo and its
suburbs.

 

Irises

 Greenhouse cultivation of irises has become very active in Yoshikawa,
reaching its peak each year from April to May.
